You have to look at this from the Republican perspective. Buster visted a Lesbian family, so that means that the CPB is part of the Homosexual Conspiracy. Plus, that $100 Million can buy 100 million high tech Tomahawk cruise missiles to rain down on our third world enemies. We'll need these weapons when we invade Ethiopia!
I can't help but be amazed at the whole "Yur eether with us or agin' us!" mentality of the right wing (and the left wing now that I think about it). I remember watching some preacher show a few years ago when they put for the proposition that anything that was not expressly pro-Christian was by definition Satanic. It seems to be the same when it comes the to "MSM". They failure to offer more than tacit approval of everything Shrub-a-dub-dub does (because simply ignoring the Downing Street memo is not enough) means they are the tools of the left.

Seriously, though, it does suck that PBS will soon be showing nothing but fund drives because our government has a fucked up attitude toward anything truly decent in this country.
Makes sense from their point of view. Sucks when someone with common sense broadcasts the truth....
