Jericho: Healing Factor - My Favorite Superpower!

Wow. Check this out!

Okay, I've been excited about things I've read before and then heard nothing more about it for decades, Cold Fusion anyone?

And, I know when scientists and journalists start talking, much gets lost in translation. But, this doesn't have that feel. "We made mice who can regrow their tails when we cut them off." That's pretty clear. Not much wiggle room there.

This, taken to an extreme, is limited immortality. If you can regrow all new organs, they won't ever wear out. If you are a 90 year old man walking around with organs that were regrown 17 years ago, you are biologically 17 years old.

This makes me happy. I bet there are some war vets who would be willing to test this technology. I know that's not entirely ethical, but neither are land mines.

Yeah. I love reading about all this miraculous science that "may someday allow us to [fill in the blank]" but never seems to come to anything.

I hope that something like this will someday be available. That said, I don't think I am going to be giving up on diet and exercise just yet.

Well, me neither. My luck will pan out that this treatment will regrow fat cells to their original size. Good for Linsey Lohan's boobs, but not much else!

Now, if they came out with a way to make things "naturally" bigger, then we have a REAL product!

Ain't nothing natural about that part of your anatomy.

In body, sure. :)

Sometimes I think I'd rather NOT know now what I didn't know then. Maybe they can erase my memories, too. I can be the idiot that Max first met!

That is a frightening thought. It's taken nearly two decades to beat you into shape. I can't imagine starting over.

Loner.

"Loner" or "Loser"? :-)

Both. I was a total anti-social loser who was quite the loner when I was 17. If I had had access to weaponry, I'm sure I would have wiped out a large group of people eventually. Instead of people saying the word "Columbine" and getting a shiver of fear, they would have had a different word to remind them of the darkness of the teen aged soul:

"Bevo"

Old pic, but it was already on the server. I'll do anything as long as it doesn't involve effort!
