Max: They Banned What?
US bans Vegemite
United States has slapped a ban on Vegemite, outraging Australian expatriates there.
The bizarre crackdown was prompted because Vegemite contains folate, which in the US can be added only to breads and cereals.
Expatriates say that enforcement of the ban has been stepped up recently and is ruining lifelong traditions of having Vegemite on toast for breakfast.
The worst thing about Vegemite is you have to get your tastebuds amputated before you can eat it. Why are we spending money and resources on this?

It's an outrage that vegemite is banned. Please consider signing my petition at www.savevegemite.com and help get our favourite Aussie icon unbanned.
WE ARE NOT HAPPY LITTLE VEGEMITES!!!!
They're spending money on it for the same reason they're spending money on the drug "war". They're stupid.
BTW- I was all about signing that petition until I found out it costs MONEY to do so. That's not cool.
It does indeed cost a minimum of $2 to sign the petition. Part of me wants to delete the first comment, but we are all grownups. If someone reading this site wants to pay $2 to signa vegemite petition, more power to them.
Me, I'll just dash off a letter to Russ Carnahan. I am guessing this will be below his radar, but te good congressman should know that some of us don't care for such idiotic wastes of resources.
