Max: Stupid People Getting What They Deserve
For those who don't know, the two metal posts are designed to only allow buses and cargo vehicles. Some bright sparks get what they deserve when they try to sneak in behind.

That was amusing. The last vehicle was a cargo van, tho.
I'm betting that you have to activate this and it only allows one vehicle. Each vehicle needs to activate it for itself, no matter what vehicle it is.
The first idiot's stupidity was totally premeditated!
The second idiot set off their air bag and everything.
Stupid drivers deserve whatever they get. It's just too bad that many stupid drivers take innocent people with them.
IMHO, these posts need to be deployed in the US. I also think the top should be pointed - more damage to the offending vehicle! They should be stronger, too, able to flip an SUV on it's back, ripping the front end off in the process!
Think of what would happen if you were standing on one when it went up? Broken body parts everywhere!
Then don't stand on one! :)
Jumping off a building will scatter your body parts, but most of us are smart enough to avoid that.
Life is an intelligence test.
Problem with the spikes: if there are children or other passengers in the car and the spikes went through -- or if the non-buses got flipped -- you could end up with fatalities on your hands that involve more than just stupid drivers.
But I'm all for the little "upsy-daisy" jolt. That's just humiliating, and probably only slightly more traumatic than unexpectedly going over a curb.
Okay, fine, I relent on the spikes.
Can we hire midgets to pop out of the ground? They can point and laugh and yell obsenities about the driver over a bull horn!
I don't know you anymore! What happened to Mr. "Stupidity Should Be Painful"? It sucks but it is difficult to protect children from their parents' stupidity. The spouse and children of a felon suffer when the felon is imprisoned. But it is the felon, not the state who is truly causing the suffering.
I'm getting soft in my old age.
Stupid people infuriate me so that I've started to get beyond my fury. Somedays I just laugh at them.
I laugh and laugh and laugh.
Their inferiority amuses me.
