I just see this as working like the touch screens at Babies R Us. You have to touch it in just the perfect way to get it to actually work. And if they're going to make it so I have to STAND to use my computer, that's just not cool.
That was like the Eye Phones from the movie version of Johnny Mnemonic. I am totally hip to that.
As for standing, why not? I sit on my ass all day long and it has done nothing but spread and spread. If I had to stand now and then to get something done, well, it would be better.
I see a totally wrap around screen. Every direction, data at your fingertips. Or, for those that want to sit, imagine being leaned back in your chair as you reach up to a parabolic dish shaped monitor. The dish would be more cube friendly.
The first application of this kind of technology will be conference rooms I bet. Being able to show your data and operate from the screen instead of a keyboard and mouse would be much more dramatic and less distracting.
This is fantastic! He's right about input devices. Why drop a square keyboard on the screen? Why not something built for a human hand? Make a gesture to bring up a keyboard, drop your ten fingers on the surface and the homekeys line up to your fingers. I'm sure they'll get there.

Bastard-y thing deleted my last comment. I just expressed my hatred of standing. Walking is one thing, but standing for extended periods SUCKS.
Anyway-- is there a way to tell that video not to auto start? It's annoying when I come to your site to see if anything new has been posted.
I kinda like the music.
Here's another demo.
