Max: Broke and Broken
As if my life isn't difficult enough.
Laura and I had some free movie passes and were going to make a double feature out of Knocked Up and Pirates of the Caribbean. On the way there, we stopped at the library, primarily so I could renew my card so I could use the online reservation system again but also to grab a couple of books.
We had just pulled out of the parking lot and were heading north on Lindbergh when I noticed a black car coming out of another lot. Somewhere in the back of my brain, a little voice calmly observed that if he didn't turn, he was going to hit us. Then another, louder voice said, "MOTHERFUCKERHEISGOINGTOFUCKING..." That is as far as the voice got before he slammed into the side of Laura's car and we were eating air bag.
Laura's car is wrecked. We are both bruised and slightly burnt from the air bags exploding. On top of everything else.
I could go on, but my hand is killing me and I don't feel like typing any more.

I am glad you were not seriously injured. Cars can be replaced (sometimes with difficulty, but they can) as opposed to the two of you. I don't suppose the moron had insurance?
He did have insurance... the same company as us... which is why I'm worried they'll call it a "no fault" and make us pay our own bills. Load of crap that is.

:( I am sorry you're sore...I had a bruise that looks similar to yours from playing softball...stupid me my hair fell out of the clip and I was trying to put it back up when the ball came flying at me and hit me smack in the inner arm leaving a REALLY huge bruise. Feel better soon. We're all thinking of ya!
I'm broken too...someone broke into our place today and took my laptops that I used for school. All of the homework/schoolwork that I've done for my first four courses and the first class of my most recent course is gone. I am sure Jason will have something to say if not a whole post about it.
Man, that really sucks! I can barely fathom it! I hope the police somehow catch the fucker(s). Though, I'm not sure how, if they didn't take finger prints. I mean, WTF is up with that?

We are waiting to hear from the insurance company. Until they get a move on, it is hurry-up-and-wait time.
