Unless you have an email as proof or something, don't pin this one on me.
I think this is very cool. I remember seeing something along this line years ago and thinking it was very cool. If my (swiss cheese-like) memory serves, I sent a link to Max about the cool thing when I found it.
The guys at work do a white-trash engineering version of this device. They remove the monitor from a broken lap-top and connect it to a monitor. I have an older laptop with a problematic monitor I have consider doing something like that to.
It was back in 97. I'm not entirely certain what my email address was back then, much less produce 1 email message from back then.
