Max: Venting
Anyone who calls the helpdesk, asks for something to be set up and after it is set up says, "I don't know anything about computers but that isn't right. There used to be a thing there. I don't know what it is and I never used it but someone told me that if the thing isn't there it's not right," should be kneecapped.

I can kind of understand your user's worries. They've probably dealt with a bunch of idiots and trusted them... now that they have someone who knows what he's doing, they don't trust you because they already trusted the idiot.
Also, doing something new to your computer is kind of frightening. I hated setting up my new computer... I wanted it to be like it was before-- where I was comfortable and at least thought I knew what I was doing.
Don't make me kneecap you.
