Kids! I wonder where they get their little racist ideas?
Oh, yeah. Their Republican parents!
I'm afraid I am going to have to call bullshit on that one. Racism is not exclusive to Republicans here in the flyover.
The main partisan divide in the STL Board of Aldermen is not Republican vs Democrat, but rather white Democrat vs black Democrat.
St. Louis is like the Civil War in some ways. Weird.
really, tho... Was "hit a Jew day" in "fun" or was it really malicious? I have a few Jewish friends that I joke around with and if I were to jokingly come up and "slug bug" (aka "punch buggy" for you backward folks) them in the sholder and then announce it's hit a Jew day, they'd probably just turn around and start "hit an ex-Catholic day" or "hit a bisexual day".
So, I guess it's all in the intent to find it.
This all does remind me of the "We Hate Katie" club back in grade school. A bunch of the kids got together and decided they were starting this club. Once the teachers found out (there was an "official membership card" that got found) they started questioning everybody in class. I had no clue it was going on, so when they asked me about it, I was like, "really?? that's awesome- it's not ME they're making fun of!" The teachers knew I had nothing to do with it, so I didn't get in trouble.
sorry for the random rant. :P
