Max: Palin Found Guilty Of Abuse Of Power

From the Beeb:

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is guilty of abuse of power, according to a probe by the state legislature. Mrs Palin was accused of sacking a senior state official, Walter Monegan, in connection with a family feud.

From CNN.com:

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin abused her power as Alaska's governor in the firing of her public safety commissioner, but violated no laws, a report for the state Legislature concluded Friday. Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan's refusal to fire Palin's ex-brother-in-law from the state police force was "likely a contributing factor" to Monegan's July dismissal, but Palin had the authority as governor to dismiss him, the report by former Anchorage prosecutor Stephen Branchflower states.

I wonder what if any fallout will come of this.

She's married to a member of a secessionist party - a man who wants to break up the United States. In most definitions, that would qualify him as a domestic terrorist.

No one, other than a few "loony libs", are making a deal about that - why would this matter?

I am willing to bet there are more than a few George Will style conservatives hoping that this will provide McCain with the excuse he needs to dump Palin.

And, in the decreasingly likely event McCain wins cometh 11/4, we just might be able to use this to pull an Agnew on Palin and get her to resign before McCain shuffles loose this mortal coil.

McCain isn't going to dump Palin, ever. He isn't that rational. He has placed all of his eggs in her ovaries.
