The drum that got away
She's kinda cool. With all of her natural attributes, I'm sure this is how the gods intended for drums to be made. But, she's just too big for my needs right now. She takes up a lot of room in a somewhat cramped apartment. She's one chunk of wood with a solid bottom, she's really heavy. I just don't have room for her and in a way I'm losing money on her ... but I'm taking her back to the pawn shop today. I'm sure someday she will make some other drummer very happy. He'll wonder who was stupid enough to let her go?
I've seen some inexpensive bongos at Best Buy. I think those will speed me along my route faster than this poor girl. I will miss her. She was kinda cool.

Sorry for your loss, babe. Hope she goes to a good home... and that you got at least half of what you paid for her back.
They gave me in store credit. We bought a camera. Then, I went and bought my bongos!!! :)
A camera, huh? What'd you get? You'll have to point us to a picture of your new bongos, too!
I got an exact copy of the Panasonic we already have, which was the upgrade model of the one that got stolen from us. The only difference is that this one is blue and a lot more beat up.
The previous owner was kind enough to leave pictures of her self, her boy friends, what could be her pets and her mother as well as a wet tee shirt shot on the memory card. Ah, yes! Pawn shop purchases are always an adventure!
You will be posting the wet t-shirt shot, I assume??
I will not! :)
It's a dark picture, anyway. But, she wasn't wearing a bra or not a very thick one!
However, the picture of her pot pipe is quite bright and colorful! ;)
I'll be erasing all the shots off that card tonight. They will disappear into the electronic ether. They will likely be over-written with video of my becoming a bongosero!
Awww... you're no fun. :P Can we at least see the pot pipe? lol!
