That's why I don't really consider myself Catholic anymore. I think this situation has more to do with the priest being Brazilian than Catholic, though.
What worries me, is how a 9 year old is already able to bare children. :(
It's been years since I checked my Guinness Book, but if I'm not mistaken, the youngest woman to bear children was 7.
I wouldn't call that a "woman"... "girl" is more accurate. That's really just not a good situation.
I'm not saying it's a good situation. Just stating what I remember. Wish I had a GBoWR to verify my memory.
